So last night was this "summers" first night when your cows were staying the night inside of the cattlehouse. It is kinda sad that it's so cold that they can't be outside at the pasture over night anymore but I'm so happy that the summer was so warm and dry so the cattles has been outside at the pasture for over 5 mouths! We put them outside 18th of May for an some hours. I really was a harsh day... We had many cows who had give their first a birth during the winter time so for they getting out of stall to outside cowsheld was new thing and they didn't undersand how to do that. In the end we get all the cows outside. :) All it took lot of time (around 1,5 hours), swearing and understanding from both the animals and the keepers.

This summer has been very good for cows: dry and not extremely hot. Of course there was heat days also but not so much.
For some reason, this summer has been very troublesome for udder health and there has been lot of declining from category E to next level. To those which this makes no sence it means 2,5 cnt loss of money for a litre so for examble 25 cows who milks althogether 237500* litre per year will cost for farmer a 123462€** for E class but for being first class it would be: 116375€. Remainder would be 7087€ per year. Think all the things what you could do by that money!

Eventhough, our cows can't be outside at the night luckily they can be still at the pasture during daytime. :) Yeah, they don't have really nothing to graze put they can walk freely and live like cow should live! By enjoying their life at the field with their mates. ;)

I hope that your cows can be outside as long as possible! Have nice Autumn days! :)
